Apple of His Eye Charity calls Gresham home. Their drive and mission to help orphans and widows in developing countries. This specific fundraiser is being earmarked to help provide bikes to those in need. Bikes are a key mode of transportation in developing nations. School, clean drinking water, and the local market are often miles away. A bicycle opens up new opportunities for education and access to basic needs by making these miles more accessible and safe. A bicycle is a gift of time, a gift of less aches and pains, and a gift of love. What better way to raise money for bikes for kids in India and Rwanda than to Cycle for a Cause!
Event Details
Everyone is encouraged to participate. Families, recreational bicyclers, and serious riders alike are welcome for a scenic ride starting at St. Josef’s Winery. This is one of our favorite charity rides with music, food, and celebration afterwards. Join with or even without a bike!

Love Project Continues into July
Bess Wills, General Manager, is continuing the Gresham Ford Love Project into July 2020. “We’ve celebrated Moms and Dads. Now we are looking to celebrate coming together with a Splashing Good Time.”
This year has really flown by for Gresham Ford. Adjusting to the challenges of Covid have kept us busy. We were awarded the President’s Award from Ford Motor Company. The all electric Mach-E arrived and we continue to wait to see the new Bronco.
However, we started the year with a simple idea. The Gresham Ford staff wanted to spread as much love around the Gresham area as possible. Not only to those who live in Gresham but also to those who choose to run their businesses in Gresham. The dealership staff comes in contact with a multitude of Gresham area business owners. Being the number one work truck and van brand causes these kinds of things. Encouraging shopping local and supporting each other was an additional important aspect to achieve. The Love Project was born. The Gresham Outlook has been kind enough to share our story with a number of stories published in their paper.

Our first event was held in February. If you have ever spent anytime at the Ford Dealership, you know we love food. After a quick and solid consensus, the decision was made to provide local restaurant gift certificates to 10 lucky couples. By happenstance the love holiday launched the Love Project.

In March we drew ten of the most adorable winners from some young local artists who entered our coloring contest. They received locally curated Easter Baskets thanks to Bess. Visiting Gresham iCandy and The Gresham Toy Shop felt so good. Supporting other small businesses in Gresham is important to our community recovering. For the month of April, we offered a Spring Spruce Up drawing. We were given the opportunity to award a handful of lucky winners with some yard maintenance, clean up and haul away services. May was made to celebrate Mom’s and we are no different. Our special group of Mom’s each won a spa day from a local salon or spa of their choice. We are all about equality at Gresham Ford and celebrated the outstanding Father’s of Gresham with gift cards to White’s Meats.

In a recent Ford commissioned survey, one in five drivers miss the petrol smell when transitioning to an electric vehicle. Based on this information, the newly designed scent is a mix. It’s truly a high-end fragrance officially named Mach-Eau. Along with the gasoline smell is paired with smoky accords, a hint of rubber, and even an animal aspect. Off-Road Geometry
With the standard 35″ tires that come standard on the 2021 F-150 Raptor you can expect 12″ of ground clearance. An approach angle of up to 31 degrees paired with a departure angle of 23.9 degrees provides lots of capability as you adventure the trails. The breakover angle of 22.7 degrees will help keep you moving past obstacles.
The available 37″ upgraded tire size does change your angles a bit. Here are the details. Your ground clearance grows to 13.1″ with the larger tires. The approach angle will become 33.1 degrees with a departure angle of 24.9 degrees. The breakover angle with the 37″ tires also grows to 24.4 degrees.
The impressive capability of the Raptor is complimented with a fierce rugged styling inside and out. The unique Raptor style continues in the new 2021 model year. The high clearance fender flares and wider stance demonstrate the Raptor capability even before you hit the trail. The distinctive power dome hood with new heat extracting vents continues to differentiate the F-150 Raptor from all the other Ford trucks that dominate America’s highways.

New Production Scheduling Updates Announced
There are five key scheduling announcements that were recently announced by Ford Motor Company. If you have a new Ford vehicle on custom order this announced will most likely effect the production timeline of your vehicle. Customers who ordered from Gresham Ford will be hearing from your Sales and Leasing Specialist with a custom update specifically for you
2021 Ford Transit Production Update
Ford has chosen to close the 2021 model year Ford Transit production. Orders moving forward will be transitioned to the 2022 model year. Again our team is ready to answer any custom ordering questions that may arise in your journey to a new Ford work van.
F-150 Diesel Engine
The 3.0L Power Stroke Diesel engine option will be removed from the F-150 custom order availability. Customers are overwhelmingly selecting our EcoBoost V6 gasoline engines and the all-new 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid engine. If you are wanting to purchase one of the few remaining diesel powered F-150 trucks please reach out to Gresham Ford directly. Due to the global semiconductor shortage and desire to maximize production in order to meet customer demand, 2021 F-150 orders for the 3.0L Power Stroke Diesel engine will be acceptted by Ford Motor Company through Friday, July 16, 2021.
2022 Super Duty Tremor Trucks
Effective immediately Ford will not build any more 2022 SuperDuty Tremor trucks. If your custom order has been assigned a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) you are only of the lucky few to purchase a 2022 Ford SuperDuty Tremor. For those who have or plan to submit their custom orders for a 2022 model year Super Duty, you will need to choose another trim level before your truck will be produced by Ford Motor Company.
2022 Superduty with Adaptive Steering
Ford has announced that they will not be scheduling the following 2022 model year Super Duty configurations:
- Lariat With Adaptive Steering
- Platinum With Adaptive Steering
- Limited

A huge thanks to everyone who donated to the annual Peanut Butter Drive. Our local food pantry, Snow Cap Community Charities, is so pleased with the donation we have been able to provide. As we have shared before many of the children who depend on their school for food suffer during breaks and vacations. In fact the Gresham-Barlow School District ranges between 36-89% eligibility for the Child and Adult Care Food Program in the 2020-2021 year. Food insecurity is common place in the Gresham area and Snow Cap Community Charities battles it daily. This status of Gresham area children is potentially devastating. FeedingAmerica.org ranks Oregon as 16th in terms of the most Food Insecure Children with 173,780 estimated children.
Impact of Food Insecurity in the Gresham Area
Those who face food insecurity often struggle with social and behavioral problems. Without proper nutrition, children lack energy and often miss developmental milestones. The need to reliably offer balanced and filling meals and snacks is integral to the success of our children within the Gresham community.
Peanut Butter Drive
Annual Gresham Ford and the Northwest Ford Dealers Association, hold a Peanut Butter Drive to help replenish the food stores at local Food Banks like Snow Cap Community Charities. Gresham Ford has been spearheading the holiday food drive, Fill-A-Bag for almost a decade.
“Anyone who spends time at Gresham Ford knows that we are all about food. When we celebrate successes, awards, and life events, we celebrate with food. We have never catered our staff Christmas Party because everyone wants to show off their favorite dishes. Many of our Technicians are more than masters of the automobile, some are even bakers. And I mean GOOD bakers. We took an informal survey and the team really wanted to do something that addressed food insecurity in our community. That is the cause that we could all agree on, ” explained Preston Wills, General Sales Manager at Gresham Ford.
Dealer with a Heart
The Dealer with a heart, didn’t just stumble into that motto. It began all the way back with McRobert Motor Company with Gussie McRobert. Her husband Chet McRobert owned and literally build the dealership. Gussie used the dealership as a vehicle to volunteer and make the community a better place.
Chet went a step further than just supporting his wife, he became the Dealer with a Heart. Through sponsorships, fundraisers, and donated marketing Gresham Ford became an even stronger pillar of the Gresham community.
When Bess Wills, General Manager, took over Gresham Ford in 2004 she learned about the history of the dealership from the longest term employee. Parts Manager, Mike Amato, is celebrating his 38th year at Gresham Ford currently. Mike told Bess about the history of the dealership and even presented her with a white ceramic mug shaped in a heart shape with the locally iconic logo of Gresham Ford, the Dealer with a Heart. Needless to say Bess never looked back or even considered any other tag line or culture for her dealership. In true Bess style she jumped in with both feet and began her adventure in Oregon with the goal of making the Gresham community better and stronger.
Together is better
Today many recognize Bess by name and sight and appreciate her numerous donations, sponsorships, donated marketing for non-profits and overwhelming positive attitude. The Peanut Butter Drive falls right in line with the overarching drive of both Bess and her staff at Gresham Ford. Gathering donations with the help of Gresham Grocery Outlet to help ensure that children have healthy nutritious snacks during the upcoming summer break is a good thing for Gresham. Ford Bronco Update
First Edition Bronco Update
The First Edition Bronco are an exclusive trim line that will only be provided as part of the 2021 model line-up. The production began in June and is scheduled to end in December 2021. Those who were lucky enough to reserve and order a First Edition Bronco will receive updates from their ordering Ford Dealership along their vehicles journey.
The first Ford Bronco Update will come approximately 45-60 days prior to the production beginning. The next expected update, again from your ordering dealership, will announced your Bronco is fully built. However this is prior to final calibrations and any accessory installation. That being said, the ordering Dealership should also be able to provide an estimated arrival date as well.
Waiting for your Ford Bronco
The last Ford Bronco Update will be sent when your First Edition Bronco is on a rail car being shipped. This will be followed by the big message that your Bronco is on the car haul headed toward the dealership. We know that waiting is hard. Maybe you should spend your time thinking of all the Ford Pass Rewards Points you will accumulate. In March of this year, Ford Motor Company announced, a 200,000 FordPass Rewards points. That is an extra $1,000 value that you can spend on accessories, maintenance, or even an extended service plan. Performance
The new all electric F-150 Lightning truck is packed with power. On each axle there are dual electric motors that provide that instant torque we talked about above. They also provide 563 horsepower on the extended range model Lightning trucks. That equals heart pounding throw you back in the seat kind of acceleration only provided by performance cars in the past. Your mid-life crisis can now look much more practical with the all new and electric F-150 Lighting. The independent front suspension includes heavy duty shock absorbers standard. The rear suspension includes a rear semi-trailing arm that proves a smooth ride you will appreciate. We are a long way from the jolting ride of the early 1990’s Ford trucks.
Comfort Meets Performance
Stabilizer bars in the front and rear are also standard equipment now. This provides more control when hauling and towing. Making you more comfortable and safer are just a few of the side benefits to the F-150 leap in innovation and technology the F-150 Lightning brings to the truck market.
The battery has been placed in the F-150 with the intention of optimizing the center of gravity and front to rear balance. This attention to detail will again improve your handling and comfort overall. With up to 300 miles of range both the standard range and extended range battery options provide the performance you expect from Ford.
Like other Ford vehicles, the F-150 Lightning also includes selectable driving modes that include: normal, sport, tow/haul, and off-road modes. These modes provide different tuning and control features that optimize your driving performance under these widely differing environments.
Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program
We are excited to announced that Gresham Ford is now an authorized Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program Dealership. The Center for Sustainable Energy has certified us to help you claim available rebates that are available with select Electric Vehicles.

How it Works
The program offers Oregon residents the opportunity to get a discount when they purchase an electric vehicle. This is different than the tax credits offers that gained so much press previously. The Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program offers you a cash rebate when you purchase the vehicle. Vehicles must be purchased or leased from a participating certified dealership, like Gresham Ford. There are three options when choosing to participate in the DEQ program that strives to reduce the amount of auto emissions in Oregon.
Standard Rebate
Oregon residents, businesses, non-profits, and government agencies are all eligible to take advantage of this rebate program. This option requires the purchase of a new battery electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid vehicles with a base MSRP under $50,000. Electric motorcycles are also eligible. There is no income requirement with the standard rebate. However, the rebate amount does differ based on the type of electric vehicle you choose to purchase.
- $750 for zero emission motorcycles
- $1,500 for battery electric vehicles under 10 kWH
- $2,500 for battery electric vehicles with over 10 kWH
Applications must be submitted within six months following the purchase or lease initiation date. If you choose to visit a certified dealership, like Gresham Ford, we will even do the paperwork for you. Otherwise you will need to complete the online application and mail it to the Center for Sustainable Energy, Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program, 3980 Sherman Street, Suite 170, San Diego, CA 92110.
Charge Ahead Rebate
This rebate offer is also available to Oregon residents. This rebate is open to new as well as used battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles with an original MSRP under $50,000. This option does have an income eligibility requirement. If your income exceeds 120% of area median income you will not be eligible for this option. For clarification please see the Income Eligibility Calculator provided by the State of Oregon. You will be asked to provide proof of income to confirm eligibility when applying for the Charge Ahead Rebate option. Again if you choose to purchase your electric vehicle from Gresham Ford we will help apply for your rebate. Otherwise you will need to complete the online application and mail it to the Center for Sustainable Energy, Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program, 3980 Sherman Street, Suite 170, San Diego, CA 92110.
Standard + Charge Ahead Rebate
This rebate is open to Oregon residents who purchase a new battery electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle with a base MSRP under $50,000. You will also been required to not exceed 120% of area median income as referenced above. In these cases there are two rebate amounts possible to receive.
- $4,000 for a electric vehicle with a battery under 10 kWH
- $5,000 for an electric vehicle with a battery of 10 kWH or larger
Eligible Ford Vehicles
Gresham Ford currently offers two vehicles that qualify for the above rebates. First is the all new 2021 Ford Mustang Mach E for $2,500. The second eligible Ford vehicle is the Ford Fusion Energi Plug-In Hybrid with a $1,500 Clean Vehicle Rebate.
