Ford Motor Company has a number of programs to recognize both dealership employees and dealerships as a whole. For those united by the big blue oval excellence is achieved in many ways: by reaching or exceeding sales goals, by scoring high in customer satisfaction and by maintaining an unwavering focus on success.   Henry Ford has been quoted as saying, "Victory is achieved each time a customer interaction translates into a lifelong relationship. And that's a Celebration of Excellence!"


Gresham Ford has been the recipient of the coveted award four times since Wills became the General Manager and purchased the dealership in 2003.

The Ford Motor Company President's Award honors those top-performing Ford Dealerships that make excellence a priority since 1998. In order to qualify for consideration Oregon Ford Dealers are required to be in good standing.  It is a privileged to be considered for the Ford President's Award not a forgone conclusion.  In order to be considered, each Ford dealership must excel in both Sales and Service customer experiences.

How does an Oregon Ford Dealer Earn the President's Award?

Following a customer's visit to the Sales or Service Departments, Ford will reach out with a comprehensive survey.  Customers are asked to share their all aspects of their experience.  In order to get what would be considered all five stars, like other review surveys.  The Ford Motor Company survey requires customers to be Completely Satisfied in order to be considered a win.  Only 340 dealerships out of more than 5,000 dealers nationwide are awarded this prestigious honor.

In order to be eligible a Ford Dealer must:
  • Be an active franchised Ford Dealer at the time the award is presented
  • Receive a minimum of sixty completed Customer Viewpoint Surveys cumulatively from the Sales and Service Departments
  • Achieve 100% or higher percentage in regards to Sales Effectiveness percentage
  • Achieve a Customer Experience Index score greater than the score of their area Ford Dealer Group

Basically a dealership needs to exceed expectations for sales and do better than their peers in terms of feedback from their customers. Many Oregon Ford Dealers have not and will never win this award. This award is determined by the surveys that customer receive after they complete a repair or purchase a vehicle from Gresham Ford.
