How does the F-150 Lightning Charge?

It takes a bit to get your head wrapped around having a vehicle that doesn’t utilize gasoline at all. There is no need for oil changes and the working parts of your truck will be shockingly clean. Owners will have the ability to charge at home using your standard outlet. Some people will choose to install or utilize a larger 240V outlet. You may already have one in your garage. A 240V outlet is often one used for larger appliances.

Ford Leads the Electric Truck Industry

Ford is the only manufacturer that provides a 80 amp charge station as standard equipment. This purpose built charging station makes overnight charging easy. Ask a Gresham Ford Customer Advocate for more information about the Ford Intelligent Backup Power enabled through Ford Charge Station Pro.

How long does it take to charge the all electric F-150 truck?

With the 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro the Lightning will charge in 8 hours. The rate is estimated to be 30 miles of charge per hour.

If you chose Level 3 DC Fast Charging 150 kW you will experience about 54 miles of charge in only 10 minutes.

Also keep in mind that with the FordPass Charging network, through your app, provides the largest public charging network.

What happens to the Electric F-150 batteries?

At the end of the life, each F-150 lightning battery can be replaced. Used batteries that no longer are functional will be recycled. Ford is even accelerating research and development of new battery recycling technology and strategies.

If I order, when will the truck arrive?

Reservations for your all electric F-150 Lightning can be placed at Ford.com. Reservations require just $100 fully refundable deposit which secures your place in line at the factory. Full configuration and options will be available later this year. It is currently expected that ordered trucks will begin to arrive at Gresham Ford for delivery approximately in June of 2022.
