F-150 Lightning DetailsThis is not the F-150 Lightning of the 1990’s.  It’s exciting to hear that the newest F-150 is not only more capable but also fully electric.  We know that you have questions and want details.  Below are some of the more popular questions we have received.

F-150 Lightning Q & A

Q. What cab configurations will be available with the all electric F-150?

A. For the first year of production the F-150 Lightning will be offered with just one configuration.  The four door Super Crew Cab with a five and a half foot bed will house the dual electric motors and the increased capability.

Q. Will there be different batteries offered?

A. When you order your all electric F-150 you will need to choose between the standard and extended range battery configurations. The standard range battery has a 230 mile range while providing 563 horsepower and 775 pound feet of torque.  You will need to keep the speed limit in mind since you 0-60 is estimated at just five seconds.  In comparison the Extended Range Battery configuration provides a 300 mile range.  With the larger battery you  gain 137 horsepower and cut a second off your 0-60 time off the line.

Q. How much will the Ford F-150 Lightning be able to tow?

A. The all electric F-150 continues the capable spirit with a maximum 10,000 lb towing capacity and 2,000 lbs of payload capacity.

Q. What trims will be offered?

A. XLT, Lariat, Platinum, and a Commercial version as well.  Reserve your spot in line now and the trim can be updated later before the final build is submitted to the plant.

Q. What will the all new electric Ford truck cost?

A.The entry level model starts at 39,974 MSRP, this is also the Commercial version that is being directed towards those who need a work truck.  The more popular XLT starts at $52,974 MSRP.  The price range is $39,974 to around $90,474.

Q. Is there a Frunk? (Trunk in the Front)

A. Why yes, there is a frunk, trunk in the front, and it’s huge with over 400 liters of cargo space.  When you choose electric you lose the gas engine and gain a frunk!

A. Yes, the enhanced Pro Power Onboard provides an avaiable 9.6kW of exportable power through
