Once again, the 100+ Women Who Care East County group got together and  in one hour, raised $11,500!

As I’ve mentioned before, this amazing group of women come together four times a year for a one-hour meeting, pledging $100 each for a local charity voted on by the group that very meeting!  It’s the easiest, no joke way to raise much needed funds for our local community charity organizations.

One of the best parts of these meetings is getting to know about the different organizations and what these funds would go towards.  Such a blessing to hear the stories and see the hearts of these dedicated people making a difference in the lives of so many!

Last night our three nominees were, Braking Cycles, Salvation Army and Serendipity Center.  The vote was cast, and Serendipity Center was the chosen recipient of last night’s meeting.

Serendipity Center seeks to provide the best environment for students with challenges to heal and become educated, productive community members.  The funds raised will go towards their community garden that the students participate in.  “Growing Minds Garden” is nearly a half-acre in size and devoted to horticultural therapy, science education and organic vegetable production.

Beneficiaries to Date:

Camp Collins $5,500

T.I.P $8,500

Baskets of Love $12,000

100+ Women March 2019 1

Serendipity Center $11,500
