Golden Bond Rescue

Who is Golden Bond Rescue?

This non-profit like so many others grew our of one woman’s passionate desire to make the world and our community a better place.  Back in 1990, there was an absence of breed specific dog rescue’s in Oregon for Golden Retriever’s.  To this day the 501C3 charity is run by volunteers driven to find forever homes for retrievers.  Spaying and neutering along with public education are the foundation of their efforts.

How to adopt a rescue dog?

Reaching out to Golden Bond Rescue is a great start!  Completing their online application and reading through their process is the first part. Keep in mind that this is a volunteer ran organization.  Most members of the Adoption Team as well as the Adoption Manager have full time jobs and families in addition to their Golden Bond Rescue obligations.  Most adoptions are finalized somewhere between one and six months on average.  Prior too placement there are a few requirements to ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone.

Volunteer Opportunities

Connecting families with Golden Retrievers in their forever homes is fantastically rewarding.  If fostering dogs isn’t an option for your family there are a number of other volunteer opportunities to suit your skills.  Just reach out and learn more a about how you can help.
