Battery Power

Range anxiety is a thing of the past with the estimated 230-mile range for the rear-wheel-drive and estimated 210-mile range for the all-wheel drive electric SUV that sports the Mustang name badging. With the extended range battery the estimates indicate 270-300 miles will be covered on one charge. The real-time navigation system shares up to the minute performance report including remaining range calculations. Low charge alerts, much like the current alert when you reach a quarter of a tank of gas, alerts drivers to the best charging location. The Mach-E addition to the Ford and more specifically the Mustang family of vehicles continues dedication to performance and reliability that Ford is known. Take for instance the impressive 0-60 mph timings. Because electric propulsion systems are not mechanically coupled from front to rear, EV motors can send as much as 100 percent of torque to either axle almost instantly. How instant? Ford engineers say Mustang Mach-E is targeting to achieve peak torque in 500 milliseconds. The result is a targeted maximum of 428 lb.-ft. of torque and 346 horsepower for the Extended Range eAWD configuration. With RWD versions, the horsepower ranges from 266 to 290, depending on the battery, with 317 lb.-ft. of torque.

The all new Ford Mustang Mach-E is not your average All Wheel Drive family SUV. It improves traction and enhances acceleration due to tis primary electric motor located in the rear and the secondary electric motor controlling the front axle. That means torque can be applied to either axle at any time. Both motors working together means they can provide superior acceleration, performance and safety. The Mustang Mach-E eAWD System is tuned to provide precision handling by balancing the torque between the axles in real time keeps you on the road and again improves safety.
