The Gresham Area Comes to an End

Summer’s end, or is it?
There are moments when it seems like the summer is coming to an end when the kids return to school. That is that. Returning to the gloom of “regular life” Here are several indicators that you could potentially be genuine if you believe this to be the case.
1. Your hard-earned tan lines are beginning to vanish.
2. It appears that your bank account is a little empty.
3. The evenings are growing shorter.
4. The days are growing chilly.
5. Layers are becoming a daily requirement.
But wait! Hold on to your hope! Our summer still has some life left in it! Here are some activities you might want to schedule in order to make the most of your “last days of summer”!

Tonight, August 21, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., “Tequilla Highway” will perform at Vance Park, located at 1400 SE 182nd in Gresham. Family-friendly, free entertainment that’s powered by our very own Gresham Ford Lighting all-electric F-150!

On Friday, August 23rd, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., there will be movies in the park showing “Star Wars-A New Hope” and “Star Trek” at Columbia Park/Imagination Station, 1900 SW Cherry Park Road, Troutdale. An excellent way to spend a “end of summer” night!

On Tuesday, August 27, there will be “Music at the Market” starting at 6:30 p.m. at the downtown Troutdale Farmers Market, which opens at 4:30 p.m. Explore all the nearby stores and restaurants, go to the market, and take in some fantastic live music! What better way to celebrate the “last day of summer”? Not in my opinion!

First Friday Art Walk and Street Fair, September 6, downtown Troutdale, 5:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m.

Finally, the Crusin’ with the Cops Car Show will take place on Sunday, September 8th from 9am to 3pm at the former K-Mart parking lot, located at 440 NW Burnside, Gresham. Among the summer’s greatest events!

And free, did I mention that? These are all free enjoyable family activities to pass the time before you wrap up in layers and accept that summer is officially ended!
