Strong design features that are most noticeable from the profile include the larger wheelbase and rear-wheel drive layout. The redesigned wheel arches display a wheel lineup that distinguishes models. The lower bodyside sheathing gives the body a solid appearance and guards it against stone damage. Additionally, roof-rack side rails are utilitarian while also being low and stylish. Lower bodyside cladding insert and 20" aluminum wheels painted Carbonized Gray are additional features of the XLT Sport Appearance Package.

With a liftgate spoiler that looks beautiful and improves aerodynamic efficiency, the athletic design flows rearward. The electric liftgate has a model-specific appliqué and can be operated hands-free with the foot. The main design components are completed by the dual exhaust, which has bright quad tips on Platinum EcoBoost vehicles, and LED taillamps.
